How your footage is handled

Quickly Clip Pro is in beta. Here's what happens to the footage, prompts and notes you give us, in plain language.

What you give us

  • The video and photos you choose to upload.
  • Your prompt, the length you pick, and any notes you send asking for changes.
  • Your answers to the permission questions (that you're allowed to use the footage, that the people in it are OK with it, and whether anyone under 18 appears).
  • Your email address, to send your sign-in links (or your invite code, if you have one). We don't ask for your name or a password.
  • If you buy credits: Stripe takes the payment on its own checkout page and tells us the purchase, the amount and your email. We never see your card details.

How it's used

Only to make your edit and its revisions. Each edit is made on its own private, isolated computer that's created for it and deleted afterwards. That computer has no general internet access.

Speech in your footage is transcribed on our own hardware. To understand the footage, plan the edit and check it, the AI editor sends your prompt, your notes, the transcripts and some images and video frames to our AI model providers (Anthropic and Baseten). Your files are stored on Amazon Web Services.

When you ask for changes, the editor starts from what it kept of the last version: its brief, its cut list and its own review, together with your footage and your notes.

No person reviews your footage or your edits. Edits are private: only you can see them here, signed in, unless you share a link to one (below). A shared edit shows its latest version.

Share links (only if you choose)

  • On a finished edit, Create share link makes a link that anyone who has it can watch, without signing in. The link isn't listed or searchable anywhere; it reaches whoever you send it to, and whoever they pass it on to.
  • The shared page shows the edit, its cover image and which site made it. It never shows your email, your name, what you wrote, or your footage, prompt or notes.
  • Stop sharing turns the link off at once. It also stops working when the edit is deleted, 60 days after it's made.
  • We count how many times a shared edit is opened, not who opened it.
  • Only share edits that the people in them are OK with others seeing.

Invite links, and where you came from

If you arrive from a tagged link (an ad, someone's invite link or a shared edit), this browser keeps the tag for 30 days and your account records it when you sign up. We use it only to count which links bring people in. There are no ad pixels or third-party trackers on this site.

Every account has an invite link. We record when another account came through yours and any eligible referral credit; neither of you can see the other's email or edits. This paid beta does not include a new free edit at signup.

Posting to TikTok (only if you connect an account)

You can connect TikTok accounts and approve edits to post to them. When you connect one, TikTok asks you to let Quickly Clip Pro see the account's basic profile and post videos. We ask for nothing else, so we can't read the account's videos, followers or messages.

  • For each connected account we keep its TikTok account ID, its display name, and the access keys TikTok gives us to post for you. The keys are encrypted with a key held in Amazon Web Services' key service, and they're never shown on this site or written to our logs.
  • For each post you approve we keep which video it is, the caption and settings you chose, when you approved it, when it's scheduled, and its status from TikTok.
  • A video goes to TikTok only after you approve it, at the time shown, with the settings you chose. Every post is labeled as AI-generated.
  • A finished video you upload just for posting is stored on Amazon Web Services.
  • Disconnecting an account turns off our access at TikTok and deletes its keys and settings at once. Posts that haven't been sent are cancelled. You can also remove Quickly Clip Pro's access in TikTok's own settings.
  • Once a video is on TikTok, TikTok's terms and privacy policy cover it there.

How long we keep it

  • Footage: deleted 30 days after upload. Revisions close after 28 days, before it goes.
  • Each version of the edit: deleted 60 days after it's made. Download it to keep it.
  • A share link: until you stop sharing, or the edit's latest version is deleted.
  • An upload you didn't finish: its parts are cleared out within a few days.
  • A connected TikTok account: until you disconnect it.
  • A finished video uploaded for posting: deleted 30 days after upload.
  • The record of a TikTok post you approved: deleted 120 days after you approve it.

On your device

Your sign-in, and the progress of an upload that hasn't finished, are kept in this browser's storage so a reload doesn't lose them. Signing out removes the sign-in.

On Choose your moments, this browser also saves local copies of your selected photos and clips, your optional direction, length settings and permission answers so you can return to a draft. The draft can be restored for 24 hours; an expired draft is removed the next time this page loads. It is cleared after you submit the edit or explicitly sign out. Clearing this site's browser storage removes it too.

This draft stays in this browser on this device; it does not sync to other devices. If local storage is blocked or full, your selection stays in the current tab only. Keep the tab open or be ready to choose the files again.

Your choices

Only upload footage you're allowed to use, and make sure the people in it are OK with being in an edit. If anyone under 18 appears, a parent or guardian needs to agree. If you want something deleted sooner, or you have a question, write to the support address on your receipt, or ask whoever invited you.
